The Good Olde Days

My love of cars was inherited. Here is my father sitting proudly at the wheel of his 1920's Model T Ford with Mother beside him.

On the running board from left to right are Ray, Dorothy and George.

Dorothy reckons that these pictures were taken in 1924. Aren't they treasures?

Love this photo.

But if that is 1924 that would mean Ray is 10 years old since he was 20 years older than you and you were born in '34. Does he look 10? He looks kind of small for 10 I think. I think he looks closer to 6 or 7 or maybe 8.

Anyway, neat stuff dad.

1924 was an estimate on Dorothy's behalf. It could have been a couple of years earlier. The main point she made was that the Henderson family was relatively prosperous at that time, owning a car and raising a young family. The Depression in the 30's changed all of that.
